Final Module: Advanced Implant Principles

The final module of this year-long program culminates in USA either in Atlanta (at the XP Learning Center) or at the Dental XP Symposium. Advanced implantology including, Treatment of Peri-implantitis, Implant Orthodontics, Lasers in Implant Dentistry, Advanced soft-tissue techniques, Minimally Invasive Tunnel Techniques, etc. will be covered in the didactics component. The module typically runs for 3 days with one hands-on session and two days of didactics. Graduation banquet and certification ceremony will be held for all participants that complete XP Externship Program. Final Module structure may change depending on Dental XP symposium location and dates.

Course participants will also get a refresher with key points from all the modules. All cases done during the length of the program will need to be presented to DACE faculty with interactive discussions (time permitting). Course Participants will receive a certificate of completion of the Implant Externship program from New York University College of Dentistry.


Objectives:

  • Understand advanced implantology techniques
  • Implant Revision Surgeries
  • Recognize, manage and prevent associated complications

Curriculum:

  • Learn the advantages of Minimally invasive procedures
  • Learn the step-by-step protocols for Minimally Invasive Tunneling Technique
  • Learn about extensive bone grafting techniques for thin ridges
  • Learn how to manage soft tissue around implants
  • Learn how to prevent & manage Peri-Implantitis
  • Q&A session

Exercises:

  • Pig jaw hands-on: perform minimally invasive techniques, suture techniques, incision techniques, etc.
  • Present and discuss all cases done as part of course exercises during the length of the program (time permitting)
